Communications

A key objective of Interreg IIIC is to enhance the impact of funded operations on policy and practice among partner regions and upstream to contribute to the enhancement of EC policy and programmes. Our experience shows that knowledge; learning and recommendations well communicated can inform and influence policy and practice. Done well, communication activity raises the profile not only of the network, but of the partners and the Interreg IIIC programme.

INTERREG IIIC key messages

INTERREG IIIC is an EU-funded programme that helps Europe's regions form partnerships to work together on common projects

INTERREG IIIC projects enable Regions to share knowledge and experience that will help them develop new solutions to economic, social and environmental challenges

INTERREG IIIC projects are designed to reduce the development gap between rich and poor areas of Europe and help Regions become more competitive

Health ClusterNET key messages

Health ClusterNET recognises that the publicly funded health sector has significant economic assets (staff, capital, procurement, research & development) that can be leveraged in support of more dynamic regional economies

Health ClusterNET facilitates the sharing of information, experience and ideas between partner regions about how to engage the health care sector more effectively in regional development

Health ClusterNET supports partner regions to build strong relationships as a basis for effective policy agendas and actions

There are a number of steps to creating and maintaining an effective communications culture across the network and its partners. Within this operation, we are trying to grow this culture by

  • developing the concept of communication champions asking Steering Group members to act as a champion for particular areas of communication activity.
  • including internal and external communications as a standing item on Steering Group and Thematic Working Group meeting agendas. This helps group members to think of communications as integral to what they do, rather than as an add-on.
  • sharing knowledge and learning. If a partner has done something well, it is published online so that other members of the network have access to the information and don't have to reinvent the wheel.
  • celebrating success. Communicate every success - from being quoted in a news story to producing a new report or speaking at a conference. If partners know this is important to the wider success of the network, they are more likely to give it a higher priority.

Communications activities are coordinated by the Information Officer who is mainly responsible for the development and delivery of the Network's communication strategy, the communication plans for each semester and day-to-day internal and external communication flows, as well as  the Website editing.
