The Health ClusterNET Co-ordinator manages the every day operations of Health ClusterNET and is responsible for its effective administration, communication, and quality assurance while implementing the decisions of the Steering Group (SG). The Network Co-ordinator supports activities approved by the Steering Group and provides assistance to in the case of any issues/problems between and with partners while the Network operates. The Network Co-ordinator works with the Lead partner’s designated Financial Manager to ensure sound financial management of the Network operation. The Co-ordinator is responsible for internal monitoring and evaluation activities and for appropriate liaison with the independent external evaluator.
Areas of Responsibility of the Network Co-ordinator
1. Providing effective day-to-day management & co-ordination of the Network including thematic co-ordination of the network components and activities
Working with the LP and other partners to organise and deliver Network Conferences, Workshops and Policy Forums;
Building in quality assurance to network activities through the development and application of appropriate protocols & briefings for network meetings and activities,
Continuing consultation including liaison visits with Partners through the whole organisation and planning of the different network and associated partner activities
2. Ensuring effective administration and organisation of the 7 Steering Group meetings;
Preparing the agenda in consultation with the LP and partners
Producing the list of participants, background of the participants
Collecting and preparing discussion papers for each meeting,
Collecting and, as necessary, preparing presentations for each meeting,
Acting as a reporter for the SG meetings
3. Maintaining formal and informal dissemination activities and communication flow;
Acting as a day-to-day contact point for partners and other external stakeholders
Working with partners to develop a range of dissemination routes and methods that build partner and external stakeholder engagement with the Network including participation in other events and promote HCN activities

4. Coordinate bilateral/bridging activities between partner regions;
Setting up a learning outcomes framework and get partner buy-in to its use
Facilitating peer review or secondment and bilateral co-operation,
Briefing about the learning outcomes to Chairman of the SG
5. Manage internal Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) ensuring integration with the independent external evaluation;
Monitoring effectiveness and efficiency of implementation based on the agreed network work plan and any subsequent amendments
Set up indicators for evaluation together with Partners and the external evaluator,
Evaluate progress towards achievements within and across components
Writing up six monthly Progress/Activity Reports,
Writing up a Final Report at the end of the Network Operation,
