Good practice and innovation will not spread across our regions unless policy makers apply their experience to creating a supportive policy and legislative environment. Policy makers can open the door to help regions realize the potential that comes from successfully engaging the health sector in regional development initiatives that contibute to achieving the goals of the Lisbon Agenda. Ultimately, we facce a number of key challenges in promoting policy recommendations based on the knowledge and learning the Network has developed. The three key challenges are: (i) being clear what policy action needs to happen in partner regions and at the EC (ii) identifying whose responsability it is to deliver these actions (iii) create some clear messages that can be used to promote our four policy agendas.
