Our last policy forum, The REGIONAL HEALTH INNOVATION LANDSCAPE POLICY FORUM was held in Liverpool, UK. The forum run from the 13 to 14 September 2007 hosted by CHAMPS (Cheshire and Merseyside Public Health Network). The policy forum concerned the key issues and trends relating to innovation in regional health economies.
.
The Forum had two aims:
- To develop policy recommendations that engage regional health systems in their health innovation landscapes and with the other stakeholders in that landscape.
- To develop policy recommendations that enable partner regions to create and build a landscape that promotes and sustains health and medical related innovations together with effective adoption of innovation in the regional health sector.
.
The end result of the forum is the Liverpool Agenda with clear policy recommendations that represent development needs in each of the three regional clusters. These are also supported by a smaller set of shared policy recommendations that are relevant for all partner regions. These policy recommendations will help partner regions (i) engage regional health systems in the health innovation landscape (ii) promote and sustain health and medical related innovations together with effective adoption of innovation in the regional health sector.
